A girl and her dog find themselves missing a neighborhood friend who recently moved away. Bob finds himself suddenly living alone.

With the gentle nudge of a tennis ball from the girl’s dog, the girl and Bob meet. Over time, the girl and Bob learn that they have a lot in common with each other. Both of them enjoy motorcycle rides, eating cotton candy, sitting by a campfire, going out for breakfast, visiting the zoo, and so much more. Most importantly though, over time, the girl and Bob learn what it feels like to have found a very best friend.

Author Joan Riedel was born in Oshkosh (B’gosh), Wisconsin, and currently resides in Suamico, Wisconsin. She is a retired elementary special education teacher. When not writing or reading bedtime stories to her dogs, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing board games, taking road trips, having long lunch dates with friends, meeting new people, finding new cozy coffee shops, and visiting her local library in search of her next page-turner.

Illustrator Brigid Malloy is a Wisconsin-based children’s book illustrator who loves to tell humorous stories through her whimsical depictions of characters. She graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in 2018, where she majored in illustration and minored in communication design. Since then Brigid has illustrated over 20 books! When she’s not drawing, Brigid adventures to local coffee shops and breweries with her friends and family.
