ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Katherine Picarde’s favorite part of being a first-grade teacher is seeing her students belly laugh at a good story or a funny picture book. Kat’s own childhood stories and afternoons full of laughs in the classroom inspired her to write her first book, The Little Ouch. Her hope is that it will bring some comfort to those who are nervous for doctor’s visits involving the Little Ouch. Kat remains a lifelong resident of her hometown of Medford, Massachusetts.
