ABOUT THE BOOK
Turkey must make it to Scurryville in time for a party, but there’s a problem—this gobbler’s afraid to fly! To make things even worse—wind, rain, a train! Oh my! What’s a turkey to do? Turkey’s adventure brings him face to face with his greatest fear, but when he takes a leap of faith, he’s in for a surprise he’ll never forget!
Also included are a coloring and activity page, and a Let’s Talk page to help children talk about their fears when they face new challenges.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Karen Condit never outgrew her love for children’s books. After twenty-five years of teaching children to read, she still makes her way to the children’s section of the library first. “There is power in a story. You can find comfort, encouragement, and clarity to some of life’s obstacles within the pages of a children’s book.” She lives with her husband in Wisconsin, where the second largest wild turkey in America was ever recorded—34.5 pounds!
Her first book Turtle on the Track was the inspiration for Turkey in the Tunnel.
